A Celebration of Life : Ma’am Irene Yusingco

Bidlisiw Foundation Inc. remembers and celebrates the life of one of the most important members of the family, Ma’am Irene Yusingco.

She was an accountant who welcomed marginalized people – women and children in need of special protection, and other disadvantaged individuals in need to her home.

As one of the Pioneers of Bidlisiw Foundation, she was among the original members of the Board of Trustees, as the Auditor. For the longest time, she was also the treasurer and one of the official signatories for documents.

In 2009 she won the Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Award. This award was inspired by Mother Teresa and was granted to people who have dedicated 25 years or more of humanitarian work to the marginalized community. She donated a part of this award to the organization.

In 2018 she was an honoree of the Istorya ng Pag-asa Champion by Atty. Leni Robredo in Cebu City. Her story was featured in the exhibit that highlighted the importance of changing the conversations in the community into positive ones, in order to inspire the people of the Philippines to do better and live with a positive outlook in life.

Your mark will be remembered and your life will always be celebrated. Daghang salamat, ma’am!
