Three hundred fifty children received Mental Health and Psycho-Social Support Services (MHPSS) and care kits. This activity was supported by Caritas Germany, the Peer Support Groups
(PSG), and other volunteers and facilitators.
The participants were children from 6 to 17 years old who were affected by the fire incident which happened in Sitio Paradise, Brgy. Looc. Huggable pillows were also provided to children 5 years old and below at the evacuation centers.
The children enjoyed mindfulness activities and biodanza activities to aid in their psychosocial well-being. Volunteer psychologists who offered their services were also on standby during the activity.
The distribution of the care kits for children will continue in January when the affected residents will be settled at their new relocation site. In the meantime, we are still accepting donations for the recovery of Sitio Paradise.
