Through the Years of Partnership: Consuelo Foundation

Bidlisiw Foundation Inc. started a partnership with Consuelo Foundation in June 2018 because the organization’s vision and mission are aligned with each other. Bidlisiw presented its Community-Based Child and Family Healing, Recovery, and Re-integration Services during the sharing of good Practices. In September 2018, Consuelo Foundation invited Bidlisiw to its Partnership Exploration Dialogue, and that was the start of the partnership under the project Protection and Recovery Program, which started in January 2019.

Since then, several projects have been developed together such as the development and enhancement of PCET Distance Materials, Enrollment of families of children in need of special protection, training and mentorship of PCET Local Facilitators and young trainers, and digitalization of Bidlisiw HR system and backing-up of Bidlisiw files.

In addition to project support and the valuable accomplishments that came from the partnership, Bidlisiw Foundation is especially grateful for the relationship that was fostered between the organizations. Consuelo Foundation showed continuous support during difficult and challenging times. During typhoon Odette in 2021, they generously provided two generators that provided electricity to the organization and the neighboring community. And during the huge fire that affected Brgy. Looc, Consuelo was the first to extend help in the form of Family Care Kits for the affected families.

Consuelo foundation has always been responsive to the organization’s needs, always shown initiative to consult, is very open in terms of communication and coordination with different strategies for projects, and has always given the organization freedom to make better ways of implementing projects.

This partnership has helped and inspired us to carry on and continue providing healing and recovery to children in need of special protection and families from marginalized communities. From the bottom of our hearts, daghang salamat!
